New Partnerships that Benefits Unsigned Artists

This is Reggie from Underworldmixradio.com. I am the Program Director for Underworldmixradio.com.

I want ALL the artists to know that we are a small company with limited staff. But we try to fight for unsigned artists as best as we can. Underworldmixradio.com is not profiting from running this radio station at all. We do this for the LOVE. We are sick of top 40 radio. We hate PAYOLA. We believe all artists should have a fair chance of getting their music heard. Ok im done venting..LOL... Anyway please read the below newsletter. There are a couple of partnerships that will help unsigned artists get more exposure. If anyone has any questions or concerns please send us an email or give me or my partner Dee a call. Pandora has agreed to accept music from Underworldmixradio artists!. As most of you guys are aware Pandora is the leader in Internet radio!. It costs the artists nothing to get their music listed with Pandora but they do have a few requirements that the artist must do. Please read the email that we got from Pandora.

We would be happy to consider music from Underworldmixradio for inclusion in the Music Genome Project Collection that serves up tunes for Pandora Radio stations!

NOTE: We pull album artwork from www.amazon.com and artist bio information from www.allmusic.com. Lyrics have recently been added as a new feature for Pandora Radio Stations and pulled from www.gracenote.com web site.

We also offer an updated concert listing for listings in partnership with www.sonicliving.com, based on the listener zip code for upcoming shows in their area (simply sign into your Pandora Account, open an new browser tab and type www.pandora.com/concerts to see a listing of concerts in your area).

Underworldmixradio is looking for music to preload on MP3 players.

There are 200-500 slots available!

We anticipate handing out 5,000 to 10,000 mp3 players!

What we will do for the artists:

We will give away MP3 players for FREE in various locations throughout Georgia, Michigan, Indiana and Washington D.C. with your music preloaded on it.

We will include a brochure/document with your contact information (website, email address etc.) with the mp3 players.

We will give you 5 MP3 players.

We will contact you to let you know when we reached our goal of 400 submissions

Once we achieve our goal of 400 submissions, we will provide you a copy of the purchase order stating how many mp3 players Underworld Communications purchased.

What we need from the artists:

We need the artist to reserve their spot on the mp3 players.

The reserve fee is $25.00.

We need a “clean” version of your track

Note: The remaining fee of $125 will be due once we reach our goal of 400 submissions.

Between songs your promotion will be played such as (Where to get your music from, When your album is coming out, Your Myspace page, Concerts, etc.) Increase your CD sales and exposure. The Underworldmixradio team will like to thank you for choosing us to stream your music across the internet. We are committed to helping "indie" artists gain respect and recognition for their hard work. With that said our staff believes the only way this station really can succeed is if every artist helps us in getting the word out. When one of us succeeds OUR whole community succeeds. We have partnered with Jango and are in talks with Spotify!. We are really going to need all the artists support to make the Spotify partnership a big success. Spotify has not launched in the USA yet. But when they do expections are high. In my opinion they will put Pandora and Rhapsody out of business. This is why a partnership with Spotify will greatly help all the Underworldmixradio artists.

Ways Artists can Help:

1. We would like all the artists to add the underworldmixradio app to their myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/underworldmixradio_app Encourage all your fans to add this app as well.

2. We would all the artists to add their customized request music button to their website,blog etc. This is extremely important because starting in October.... The top requested artist for the month will get their picture added to our home and communities pages..we will put out an email blast and a digital blast to other internet radio stations of their genre of music..The other internet radio stations are mainly Live365 and clear channel stations...We offer this service for $50.00 but the top requested artist will receive these blasts for FREE!!!!!!..Most importantly More Requests=More Spins..More Spins=More Money if the artist music is registered with BMI. 3. We also would like all the artists to add our banner to their website,blog etc. Below is the email to our banner page. The banners can be resized to fit your website if needed. Just Finished watching the Michael Jackson Memorial.. It was very touching. Now this asshole is on MSNBC saying that Americans are overreacting over MJ's death. This guy obviously has an hole in his soul. Real Talk..Listen I understand that life goes on. But to ghetto kids growing up in the 80's MJ was like Superman.. As a matter of fact all I remember in the 80's is Michael Jackson and Run DMC. The asshole on MSNBC obviously does not know the power of music. Great Musicians make global music. Didnt the world mourn when John Lennon and Elvis died? This man was popular as the Creator Himself. I hate when bigots talk on TV. Lets do this..Lets enjoy this memorial because we know the "dirty" details will soon be exposed surrounding the exact nature of his death.

Lets see whats going on in politics...Oh I know Mrs Palin resigned this past week. Could a scandal in the works? Who just walks away from a govenor post? I smell a scandal..

The Democrats have their 60th Senator.Lets hope an majority in the Senate will actually lead to job creation.

Let me start this 1st issue of UnderworldMixradio.com's Blog by saying RIP to Michael Jackson.
If your an 80's kid like me you are probably an Michael Jackson Fan. Thats right before hiphop took over we had Mike. He was our first Superstar. He was the MAN. All I know is people use to always compare Mike and Prince to see who was the best of the 80's. Now I'm a Prince fan too but MJ had magic. Just something about him..Its like your eyes let you know you are watching or hearing greatness. It has to be divine.

On the flip side his spirit is Free Now...No More cameras,no more pressure. Things happen for a reason. God sent him here to do a job. If anything Hollywood and the Mainstream Music Industry needs to look in the mirror and watch the examples and cultures that they are setting for the kids. Pampering stars and giving in to their every wish is not right. Someone should have stepped in a long time ago and helped this man. But instead of seeing the signs we called him wacko jacko...

Its time we look in the mirror and for the sake of humanity lets start building people up instead of tearing them down.

Name another african american that has people in other countries crying for them. Hands down he is one of the greats. One of the most popular human beings in the world EVER!...

The Music industry will never be the same. Pop and R&B music will never have another megastar like MJ.
